The government of Quebec made a very unexpected announcement yesterday.

Due to recent amendment to Special Economic Measures (Iran) Regulations as of November 21st, 2011, the government of Quebec will no longer be accepting immigration applications under the Immigration Investor Program for Iranians in Iran.

The government of Quebec confirmed that this should not affect those candidates who have submitted a file prior to November 22, 2011. Those files in process should proceed as normally.
